We get it: You love Jack in the Box, but you’ve tried everything on the menu, and are still upset about some old favorites disappearing. What’s a Jack in the Box fan to do?
Luckily, there are still ways you can and should get creative if you’re bored with the standard menu options.
Let’s put it this way: If you’re sticking to what’s listed, then you’re missing out on some potentially tasty late-night meals.
Here’s the inside scoop on the Jack in the Box secret menu.
1. The Bacon Bacon Cheeseburger
The Bacon Bacon Cheeseburger has earned a strong cult following after it was discontinued. There’s even a Facebook group devoted to the ill-fated burger. Never fear, though: you can still order it if you’re sneaky.
The Bacon Bacon Cheeseburger still has a place on the Jack in the Box secret menu. Just ask for a bacon cheeseburger with added bacon bits to create your own Bacon Bacon Cheeseburger.
2. The Triple (or Quadruple) Jack
If you can handle it, your burger can be stacked as tall as you want it. An extra dollar will get you an extra patty added on to any burger.
Turn your Double Jack or Ultimate Cheeseburger into a triple patty, or add a second patty to another classic, like the Bacon and Swiss or the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger.
3. Cheese, Cheese, and More Cheese
While you’re at it, did you know you can order extra cheese? Well, you do now. Add as much cheese as you want to any burger for $.40 a slice.
The Bacon and Swiss Buttery Jack could use a slice of American cheese too, don’t you think? Just don’t order a “burger with cheese.” There’s a name for that already.
4. The Ciabatta Cheeseburger
Another fan favorite that left us too soon, the Ciabatta Cheeseburger can still be made on request, depending on your location. Ask for the burger you want and see if they can make it on a ciabatta bun.
And while you’re at it, you might be able to sweet-talk your way into a sourdough bun on any burger.
Ah, yes–the dessert hack. If you’re looking for a twist on your classic Oreo milkshake, ask for mint instead of vanilla ice cream for a York Peppermint Pattie-inspired treat.
Can a wink and a nudge get you some strawberry mixed in there? Or a chocolate Oreo milkshake? There’s only one way to find out.
Can you get ham and turkey from breakfast added to a burger? What about french fries? You never know until you ask. It depends on your location, what they have on hand, and what you can get them to do for you.
Of course, you could also think outside the Box: what can you grab at a CVS or Walgreens that could make a good add-on? Potato chips, sour cream, or barbecue sauce can make for some great additions if they’ll let you bring them in. You can even pick yourself up some beer or wine to enjoy (after lunch of course! Jack in the Box is not a BYOB joint!)
